For Fall/Winter 2016-17, VETEMENTS designer Demna Gvasalia chose a unique blend of street and tailored that captivated the runway. Jackets, shirts, pleated skirts, slacks, and school uniform-inspired looks were the hallmarks of the 2016-17 AW collection. Long shirts longer than the jacket were layered under square silhouette jackets and worn slouchy and unbuttoned to create a loose look that is the quintessential VETEMENTS look.
As the collection progressed, the brand's iconic item, the hoodie, made its appearance. The purple coloring, skull prints, and graphical text were all different elements from the past. One of these pieces is the Total F××king Darkness Zip Hoodie introduced here.
